this morning, while the rest of my lazy family was still asleep, i decided to drive down to piermont and take a stroll on the pier. it was a little bit chilly.
(click to enlarge – they look cooler)
it was also incredibly, unbelievably, stunningly beautiful and wonderfully invigorating! mother nature never ceases to amaze me.

in unrelated news, yesterday our studio re-opened after a two week break for the holidays. the intermediate and advanced kids were welcomed back by octogenarian guest teacher nina novak, ( former ballet russes ballerina) who i must say, gives a decidedly wicked class ; ) my ballerina daughter has mentioned how incredibly sore she is at least a hundred thousand times so far today. go nina!
Wow that must be awesome, such an established (ex)ballerina to teach! Lovely!
And those pictures… gorgeous!!!!! I can’t imagine how cold it must be out there right now! We are experiencing REALLY soft weather for this time of year here in The Netherlands!
oddly, the day after i took these ice pictures the temp went up to 57F ! this morning it was back down to 4. crazy!!
Yes I heard about the weather extremeties you are experiencing over there in the news.. Sounds bizarre!
