dancers i have fallen in love with via youtube but never seen live (volume six)

~ dinu tamazlacaru ~

(staatsballet, berlin)

well, i had never actually heard of dinu tamazlacaru until i started obsessively watching iana salenko videos. iana and dinu seem to dance together frequently and i eventually found myself quite drawn to him as well as her. so here’s the deal – i adore his face. (well, that’s part of it). he has an especially interesting, expressive and lovable face and i just think he’s cute. and he can dance!! he may be just a little rough around the edges but he has loads of personality and style and dances with gusto to spare. dinu has a crazy explosive jump and enthusiasm to match. i can’t help but love him : )

unfortunately there are not exactly a ton of videos out there of mr. tamazlacaru (i really wish there were video of his prince siegfried) but there are some fun ones…….

first up – “gopak”, a bit of a big silly showpiece, but he kills it!

and here (with natalia krekou)  as lankendem in le corsaire : )

and dinu is absolutely bloody fantastically brilliant in le bourgeios! enjoy! ♥

It’s so nice how you keep coming up with dancers that were completely unknown to me! Thanks 😀 He’s great!

Enjoyed your post. YouTube is a great ballet resource and have been spending a lot of time watching great dancers from the 1960s and 1970s.
